The blue-stone buildings are now self-contained BnB cottages for those visiting this heritage listed town.
Emma Tiver Heritage Cottage is number 12 and has two bedrooms, cosy lounge with open fireplace and delightful country kitchen. The decor is quaint and cutesy with lots of memorabilia and knick knacks.
Your bathroom has slate floors and a shower, hand basin and toilet.
Relax under a tree in the private cottage gardens or stroll the historic streets and discover nearby National Trust sites. Spend a couple of days with your Burra Passport Key and visit the many attractions in Burra.
A true heritage experience.

Charming, gorgeous little cottage - wonderful time!(Dominoes, reading stories by the fire, explored local area), adorable step back in time experience.

Disappointing This is the 6th time we have stayed in Tivers Row - (Usually in no.10). This time we were very disappointed and it is unlikely we will revisit. We are used to the fire prepared and ready to light, heated floor in the bathroom. some lights left on and the last couple of visits even a welcoming complimentary bottle of wine. We have always previously had hot breakfast provisions left for us. This time we had none of the above - There was no lights left on, the fireplace was bare, the bathroom floor heating has been disconnected, the general cleanliness was not up to previous standard - spider webs everywhere, dirty behind doors - there was even blood stains on the blankets. This particular cottage was over cluttered with Bric a Brac. We are noyt used to complaining - that is why we have returned 6 times before but this property has definitely deteriorated an really needs some attention. It is also showing signs of aging since the upgrade. Regrettably it has been a disappointment from previous visits.

No paper to light the fire, not enough wood supplied for the evening fire. No bread for breakfast, supplies sparse. Kitchen sink partially blocked, water took quite a while to drain. Shower great and the bed very comfortable.

Management Response

Hi John, the paper and matches are in the cupboard to the left of the fire place and the bread was on top of the microwave. Will get someone to check the sink - thanks for letting us know.
